Aron lives in Tuxford and joined us after graduating at Birmingham City University where he attained a 1st Class Honours Degree in Accounting and Finance in July 2015.
After graduation Aron knew he wanted to continue his studies and gain further accountancy qualifications – and explored the difference between a role in industry or practice.
Industry’s loss is our gain and, after a successful interview, Aron accepted the appointment of Trainee Accountant in our Lincoln office.
Aron says “I was impressed with the professionalism and approachability of Wright Vigar. Having looked at the website and reading more on their traineeships, I knew I was making the right choice. They came across as very respectable and experienced and there were also details of various charity sporting events that Wright Vigar had got involved in – so I knew they also liked to have a little fun along the way!”
“I am currently studying AAT Level 4 at Lincoln College – with a view to using that qualification to fast track me through the Chartered Accountants qualification (ACA). I work in the Lincoln office 5 days a week, and attend college 2 evenings a week – this means I am getting ‘on the job’ experience whilst furthering my technical knowledge.”
Lincoln born and bred, Ryan is a home grown success story. He has lived in Lincolnshire all his life, studying at The Priory Academy LSST, Lincoln, and continuing his education to the University of Lincoln, attaining a 1st Class Honours Degree in Accounting and Finance in July 2015.
Once Ryan graduated he was keen to secure gainful employment close to his home town, allowing him to continue his learning whilst saving for his future. Ryan says “A number of fellow students on my course who chose the University of Lincoln to study, and who weren’t originally from Lincoln, were very keen to stay and work in the city. I think this is because Lincoln isn’t a massive city – but it is large enough to offer a vibrant lifestyle, and also some great career opportunities.”
“I approached Wright Vigar as I liked what I read about the firm, and I am delighted to say I was successful in my interview, and was appointed as a Trainee Accountant with Wright Vigar in September 2015. I am really enjoying the experience of working with clients, and gaining hands-on familiarity of the different accountancy packages available, including the latest cloud bookkeeping software.”
John Richmond, HR Manager at Wright Vigar said “Aron and Ryan were a great find for us; their can-do attitude and eagerness to learn has allowed them to progress rapidly, opening up many opportunities to work on a variety of disciplines and gain invaluable experience.”
“As Lincoln continues to flourish as a popular destination to live, work and visit, competition is always quite fierce for graduates to secure a premium position. If you aspire to work for an organisation that has continued learning and professional and personal development at the very core of their culture, see overleaf for our recruitment process – it’s never too early to define your career path.”
