With a background in both practice and industry, John joined Wright Vigar in 1999 in an Accounts and Audit role. He completed his ACCA exams in 2004. Over the years, his role has developed from being predominately accounts and audit based to being responsible for the HR and training functions for the firm. To accompany this he gained the Assoc CIPD qualification in 2008. He feels that training is very important for any business as a basis for developing its team.
John is still focussed on a small portfolio of clients, but is also able to assist in reviewing HR systems and procedures such as personnel files, recruitment and induction processes as well as assisting our clients with recruitment. He works alongside HR consultants to offer a practical approach to employment law issues.
John lectures AAT at Lincoln College in evenings and also serves on the Yorkshire & Lincolnshire Regional Advisory Council for the BBC Trust. He also “enjoys” spending time at Blundell Park watching Grimsby Town being a long standing season ticket holder.
