Committed to the Business Development role, Chris says, "Business owners need their accountant not just to tell them what happened in the past, but to work with them towards their hopes and aspirations for the future. As managing director I need to make sure that is true of our own business as well as our clients' businesses".

Neil joined Wright Vigar in 1991, qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1996 and made partner in 2000.

Neil works alongside some great clients who all have similar traits in common, they show great drive and ambition to take their business forwards. Size doesn't matter: multi-million pound businesses and sole traders alike can achieve their goals as long they are motivated to do so. Neil offers these clients a wealth of expertise from corporate and business tax planning to helping with recruitment needs and building winning teams. Neil passionately believes that great businesses flourish from having the right advice from their professional advisors and having the right team in place.

Neil is located in our Retford office, as Office Director, but he still regularly frequents the Lincoln office to maintain his existing client base.

In Neil's spare time, he can be found on the football pitch, at home with his wife, twin boys and young daughter or in the garden racing his ride on lawnmower!

Colm McCoyColm McCoy

Position: Director of Tax

Tel: 01522 531341

Email:

Degree: BSc (Hons) in Mathematics

Colm has a quarter of a century's experience in tax and sees his role as trying to minimise the pain of having to pay tax. After salaries, tax can be the biggest cash burden on any business. Working with the other directors he provides advice across the practice on the most tax efficient ways of structuring transactions and businesses. Tax cannot always be avoided, but very often it can be significantly reduced by planning ahead.

While not being taxed, Colm likes running in deserts and mountains, sometimes for days at a time.
