The Autumn Statement 2014
The Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne delivered his final budget before the next general election, and we all thought he would be playing it softly, softly in this budget in a bid to win favour. However, when he took to the floor he was quick to deny this stating "The measures I announce today are not a net giveaway, but actually tighten the public finances a little".
