COVID-19 Update – 27 August – CJRS: Employers urged to get their data right - Wright Vigar
 In Advice, Blog, News

HMRC has updated the guidelines for making a claim under the CJRS to indicate that files with details of 100+ furloughed employees will be rejected if not formatted correctly.

Employers will be notified when a file has been rejected with a message stating the claim has not been accepted and will not continue.

To avoid this happening we advise using the template from HMRC when you are making a claim for 100 or more employees. Files will be rejected due to:

  • an incorrect file type
  • too many columns or sheets
  • too few columns.
