It’s been one year since Wright Vigar proudly won the Workplace Wellbeing Award at the Active Lincolnshire Awards night, and they are thrilled to announce that their commitment to employee wellbeing has only strengthened. In addition, the firm will also be the proud sponsor of the award that they won last year.

Wright Vigar’s journey towards fostering a culture of wellbeing included signing up to the MIND mental health at work commitment, working towards the 6 commitment standards to improve and support the mental health of their people. Their dedicated Wellbeing Group meets regularly to prioritise employee wellbeing and develop strategies to encourage active lifestyles among their team members.

To demonstrate their commitment to wellbeing, Wright Vigar have implemented various initiatives over the past year. New endeavours include ‘active networking’ with local businesses through activities such as 6-aside football, cycling clubs, and virtual golf sessions. They have also introduced a welcoming running club open to all employees, regardless of their running ability.

Wright Vigar’s Wellbeing Committee have also made a point of visiting all the offices, ensuring that the voice of every team member is heard. This inclusive approach ensures that wellbeing initiatives resonate with the entire team.

Understanding the unique health needs of female employees, they have also set up a Women’s Health Group, providing a dedicated space for addressing women’s health topics and concerns.

Additionally, their Social Committee has been working hard to arrange events that foster camaraderie and positive relationships among the team, creating a tight-knit and supportive workplace culture.

In a gesture of support for the cause of wellbeing, Wright Vigar has chosen to sponsor the award they won last year. The “Active Workplace Award” now celebrates organisations that create an environment encouraging employees to be active, irrespective of their fitness levels. It acknowledges the opportunities provided during and outside of work hours.

Wright Vigar will continue on its journey of championing workplace wellbeing. Their commitment to creating a healthier, happier, and more active workplace sets a great example for organisations far and wide.
